This charming cafe, located at 1121-8 Ninotaira, creates a delightful harmony between art, nature, and good company, providing an ideal place to unwind after exploring the impressive outdoor sculptures scattered throughout the museum grounds.

Upon entering, you are immediately drawn in by the cafe's stylish design featuring elegant wooden chairs and tables, all carefully arranged to face large glass windows that invite stunning views of the lush, green surrounding trees. It creates a tranquil atmosphere, as you sip your drink and soak in the immersive experience of nature. As customer Çağıl Harmandar notes, the artistic design of the cafe enhances the overall feel, making it a beautiful setting to enjoy some downtime.

While specific menu details weren't provided, guests have raved about the cafe's offerings. You can imagine indulging in a delicate green tea set paired with sugar candies, a perfect balance for those who appreciate the nuanced flavors of sencha, which can be slightly bitter for some. As shared by Florence Leow, enjoying a cup of fragrant green tea here feels like a gentle hug on a relaxing afternoon. The open-air concept, combined with the expansive views, elevates your sensory experience, allowing you to truly feel at peace.

Feedback from patrons highlights the uniqueness of this cafe’s charming ambiance. Nene V. notes it is a “beautiful, must-see” location that is less crowded in the mornings, which means you might just find a cozy nook to relish in tranquility before the crowds appear. Another visitor, Ojisan “Hiroshi”, appreciated the engaging museum experience that frames your visit, ensuring that you have vitality sparked by art and nature that seamlessly transitions into the cafe setting. After a leisurely stroll surrounded by captivating sculptures, what could be better than slipping into one of their plush chairs and enjoying a beverage while basking in the view?

While some visitors like Kajen Singham found the prices a tad on the higher side—specifically mentioning the maple milk experience—it contributes to the cafe's unique charm. This attention to detail in menu offerings mirrors the artistic and aesthetic quality found throughout the museum. While some drinks may require a little adjustment, the overall ambiance and customer service consistently garner praise.

The Hakone Open-Air Museum Cafe embodies more than just a pit stop during your adventure; it is a sanctuary that invites guests to linger a little longer, basking in the beauty of art and nature. Whether you are here for the exquisite views, the cozy atmosphere, or simply to take a breather between art installations, this cafe is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Extremely enjoyable Museum that kept me Entertain for 3hours. Worth the 1600 yen (adult). Parking is 500yen for 5hrs. Great place to walk around, look at sculpture and scenery.

Great place, awesome sights and the foot bath is a cool addition for a cafe. However the drinks are kinda over priced imo, at least the maple milk, I thought it would be maple flavours milk tea kinda think, but it was literally maple syrup at the bottom of a cup of milk, idk but I feel like it could at least come mixed if paying 450 yen. IMHO.

The Hakone Open-Air Museum Cafe is a pleasant, cosy & lovely cafe that has wide glass panels which gives you an expansive view of the the grassy verdant slopes of the museum. ???? My husband and I had green tea here on a quiet weekday afternoon. It was really nice to rest at this cafe for a while. The green tea set came with sugar candies ( as the sencha could be a little bitter for some people).
